On Easter Sunday we also celebrated Shannon's birthday.
Most of the family showed up for tacos and an Easter egg hunt.
The whether was great and every one seemed to have a good day.
THE THINGS WE WANT TO SHARE
Three generations Patti, Shannon, and Hester.
The other ladies at the table, Shannon, Gandhi, Matti, and Jeri.
Each table had to have a theme and they had to do all the decorations themselves. (Definitely not a man thing.)
Of course Patti and I did the grandparent thing and visited the kids on Christmas morning to see what Santa Clause had brought.
Ed and Hester, (Patti's mom and dad) were with us
as well as Tracy, (April's dad)
Kris brought his friend Kendra, who was a Yellow Jacket fan among Gators and Bulldogs, thus the Yellow Jacket gift.
All in all it was a great day with family and friends. We pray that the coming year is as good to all as 2008 was.

Before leaving Patti had to see the beach. Of course it was too cold for swimming and the ocean was a little rough, but she got to see and smell the beach.
This weekend was the Concord Jubilee, our local arts and crafts market. This year our daughter-in-law Jeri had a booth for her "Sweet Bowtique" business. They had a lot of fun and did pretty good in sales also.
This weekend Patti had her thirtieth class reunion, the Pike County High School class of 1978. About thirty class mates showed up for a cook out Saturday afternoon. They enjoyed lots of good food, endless stories, and great fellowship. The whether was rather chilly with a stay breeze, but that didn't cool the spirits of the 1978 Pirates.
IN. to see the Indy Raceway.
went to the top of the Arch (proving it is a small world, we ran in to a friend from Zebulon, our home town in Georgia) and visited several sites of interest before heading back east.We took the southern route back stopping at Churchill Downs (ho
me of the Kentucky Derby) and Fort Knox (home of all the gold).
We went to "The Creation Museum", a very large place that covers Genesis so that kids and adults can understand and enjoy it. Movies, displays, discussions, the true creation. If you can, it is well worth the 8 hours or more it takes to go through it.
We returned Brenda and Ron home.
We headed home by way of Pigeon Forge, TN, Gatlinburg, TN, and over the Smokey Mountains to Cherokee, NC, then back to Georgia. We stopped to see Kris in Athens, GA (he is back at UGA working on a masters degree).
It took us about 12 days and about $500 in gas to make the trip, but it was great.
